[Press Release] The University of Tennessee Expands FanFood Partnership Ahead of Football Season

Knoxville, TN The University of Tennessee is expanding its partnership with the online and mobile ordering platform FanFood to offer contactless concessions ordering at Neyland Stadium, home to Tennessee football, which will be the second athletic facility at the university to offer fans this service.

Fans attending Tennessee’s October 3rd home opener against Mizzou will be able to order concessions through the FanFood app and order.fanfoodapp.com for contactless pickup. FanFood allows fans to browse menu options from their phones and order anytime during the game from their seats.

Three stands within Neyland Stadium will serve as FanFood pickup locations: stands 139, 231, 376, to mitigate concourse congestion and queue times for fans on each seating level.

Neyland Stadium will be the second University of Tennessee athletic facility to offer FanFood mobile ordering. Fans at the Thompson-Boling Arena in November 2019 had the first opportunity to order concessions through FanFood at University of Tennessee events, being able to order for in-seat delivery exclusive to loge seating areas. October’s launch at Neyland Stadium will be the first University of Tennessee venue to offer contactless pickup for concessions.

The expanded partnership adds to FanFood’s list of 170+ locations the platform operates, including sports venues, entertainment venues, and hospitality locations. Partners with FanFood are seeing up to a 40% increase in average order size, with every other customer placing more than one order throughout the event. In early September, FanFood helped roll out mobile ordering at the University of North Texas’s Apogee Stadium.

Tennessee games played at Neyland Stadium will only permit approximately 25,600 fans to attend, or around 25% capacity, and other initiatives detailed on the university’s gameday information page will be in effect.
