CASPER, Wyo. – The Casper Horseheads, an Expedition League wood-bat baseball club in the league’s Clark division, has partnered with FanFood, a Chicago-based technology company that provides in-venue food and beverage mobile ordering, to offer contactless concession pickup for fans at all Horseheads home games this season.
As preparations are made to welcome fans back at Mike Lansing Field for the first time since 2019, guests can expect a safer and more convenient concession ordering option at all Horseheads home games this season through FanFood mobile ordering. Game day concessions pickup will be available to fans starting on Friday, May 28 at the Horseheads home opener versus the Mining City Tommyknockers.
With FanFood, fans anywhere in the ballpark will be able to browse the concession stand menu from their phones, order at any point during the game, and pay directly from their device. A text alert will notify fans when their order is ready for pickup from the main concession stand. Fans can skip the lines and spend more time in their seats to not miss any of the action.
“Having to sit out last season amid health concerns for our fans, players and staff, we are ready to get ‘Back in the Saddle’ for 2021,” said Chuck Heeman, owner of the Casper Horseheads. “As we all get back to normal, we’ve heard from our fans who can’t wait to get out of the house and back outside for the summer. Our goal is to serve them great ballpark food as quickly and efficiently as we can as we all get back to having fun. We’ve seen the results of the FanFood program in other markets and know this is a great addition to our ability to give our fans a great ballpark experience.”
Since the COVID-19 outbreak, cashless transactions and contactless pickups have risen in popularity for minimizing physical interactions. The Horseheads join seven other Expedition League teams in offering FanFood contactless mobile ordering at their ballparks this season, including the Western Nebraska Pioneers, Souris Valley Sabre Dogs, Badlands Big Sticks, Fremont Moo, Hasting Sodbusters, Pierre Trappers and Sioux Falls Sunfish.
“We’ve seen the pandemic rapidly and permanently changing consumers’ behaviors and mindset, and the new fan experience is defined by both safety and convenience,” said Drake Orser, customer success manager at FanFood. “We look forward to providing Casper Horseheads fans with a safer, on-demand ordering experience at their much-awaited season opener.”
Casper Horseheads fans can access FanFood instantly from their browser at https://fanfood.app/casper, or by downloading the FanFood app on their iOS or Android device.
About the Casper Horseheads
A charter member of the Expedition League, the Horseheads opened for business in late 2017 and started play in the 2018 summer season. The team finished second and third in league attendance in 2018 and 2019, and in 2019 drew the five largest single-game crowds in league history. As hosts of the 2021 Expedition League All-Star Spectacular, presented by Hydrotex, the Horseheads are “Back in the Saddle” after COVID-19 restrictions forced a suspended 2020 season.
