Lithonia, GA – Georgia Kangaroos, a men’s professional basketball team, partners with FanFood, a commission-free mobile ordering platform, to help local restaurants stay open with contactless and curbside pickup in an initiative called “Kangaroo CARES Campaign”.
The Campaign aims to enable local restaurants to receive mobile and online orders, while offering curbside pickup during COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. Restaurants in Stonecrest can sign up for free to use FanFood’s mobile ordering platform and keep 100% of the revenue and tips. The platform’s monthly licensing fee is covered by the Kangaroos in an attempt to support the local community. Compared to other third-party delivery apps that charge a revenue share, such as UberEats and Grubhub, FanFood is a much more cost-effective and friendly platform for local businesses to get on.

Customers can search for local restaurants on the FanFood app and order from their homes. They will get a text notification when their food is ready, and receive it via contactless in-store pickup or curbside delivery. Georgia Kangaroos is also helping local businesses promote their special menu items, discounts and other marketing messages as an advertisement distributor. Meanwhile, FanFood will sponsor up to $2,000 in promo codes for each participating restaurant to incentivize first-time orders.
