[Press Release] University of North Texas Partners with FanFood to Bring Mobile Ordering to its Facilities

Denton, TX – University of North Texas is bringing FanFood, a concessions online and mobile ordering platform, to its athletic arenas for the upcoming 2020 school year. This is the University’s latest initiatives to support social distancing and offer contactless solutions to game attendees and staff members. [Press Release] University of North Texas Partners with FanFood to Bring Mobile Ordering to its Facilities   Mean Green Athletics is rolling out FanFood’s mobile ordering platform for the football season. Apogee Stadium, home to Mean Green Football, will have five concession stands equipped with FanFood technology, allowing fans to browse menu options from their phones, and order anytime during the game on their phones from their seats. They will be alerted when the orders are ready for express pickup at the specially designated FanFood pickup window. The UNT Coliseum, otherwise known as the Super Pit, will also offer FanFood during the basketball season.    “When the pandemic started, FanFood wanted to expand our offerings to more colleges around the country so we could help recover lost revenue for venues and help colleges get ready for larger crowds,” said Carson Goodale, CEO and co-founder of FanFood. “We are so thrilled to be partnering with UNT to help implement mobile ordering and deliver the best experience for Mean Green fans.”   Mean Green Athletics joins FanFood’s existing 160+ venue partners nationwide across industries, and this marks yet another partnership with a Division I school for the company. FanFood has been working with venues of all types and sizes to introduce mobile ordering to their concession stands. Partners with FanFood are seeing up to a 40% increase in average order size, with every other customer placing more than one order throughout the event. Additionally, operators can accept more orders without the long lines, and operating costs can be reduced by removing the need for a cashier.    Apogee Stadium, designed by the same team who created AT&T stadium in Dallas, has been home to Mean Green football since 2011 and houses over 30,000 fans. The Super Pit opened in 1973 and seats 10,500. FanFood will be available to all these fans and potentially more. If all goes well with football and basketball, FanFood might be available at Lovelace Stadium for the Mean Green baseball season.
